The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has removed two seats from the stray vacancy round of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination Undergraduate counselling (NEET UG). The decision to remove the seats has been made as per Court decisions. One each MBBS seats of open category has been removed from Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry and Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Pondicherry. These seats have been removed from the seat matrix during allotment process of special stray vacancy round of NEET UG counselling. Meanwhile, the Counselling Committee has also added multiple seats in the seat matrix of special stray vacancy round of UG counselling 2024 in MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing at colleges including in Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Pune, Government Medical College Machilipatnam, Datta Meghe Medical College, Nagpur and College of Nursing, BHU Varanasi. The candidates eligible to participate in the stray vacancy round can fill choices against the newly added seats in the medical colleges. Also, the candidates who have been allotted seats in the MCC NEET UG special stray vacancy round will not be able to participate in special stray vacancy round of the state UG counselling 2024 process.
