The NTA today released the admit cards for candidates who are now appearing for retest of the NEET UG 2024. The retest is only for the candidates who had received grace marks by NTA due to loss of exam time. The hall tickets for the June 23 exam are available at the official website of NTA – neet.ntaonline.in. As per NTA's decision, the candidates who received the grace marks in NEET UG have to either appear for a re-exam or accept the actual marks received by them without grace score, which they were informed on their registered email id by NTA. This year, a total of 1563 candidates received grace marks to compensate for the “loss of time” suffered while appearing for the NEET exam on May 5. These candidates were from six exam centres - one each in Balod and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, and one each in Surat, Meghalaya, Haryana, Chandigarh and Bahadurgarh. The re-test will be conducted in the same six cities but different centres.. The NTA also notified that the re-exam results will likely be released before June 30, so that the counselling can begin from July 6. However, now a meeting was called by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, which was attended by the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Health Minister J P Nadda, and also by a representative from the Prime Minister’s Office, Shah heard out the positions of stakeholders, including the NTA. NEET UG 2024 results were declared on June 4, and drew attention as 67 students were declared AIR 1 in NEET UG 2024. This year, a total of 17 transgender candidates appeared for NEET UG. A total of 13,31,321 female candidates and 9,96,393 male candidates who took the exam.
