JEE Mains 2024 Updates, Paper 1 Analysis: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today started the paper 1 (BTech and BE papers) exams of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 1. The admit cards for the JEE Main exam are released at the official website — jeemain.nta.ac.in. While the exam in the morning session was held between 9 am and 12 noon, the afternoon session exam from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Aditya Nigam, who appeared in the session 2 exam from a centre in Meerut told indianexpress.com that the “difficulty level of Math was high as compared to Physics and Chemistry. Nearly five questions were tricky and that might affect overall percentage.”

As per the official schedule, the BTech and BE papers are set to be held on January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. Candidates will have to carry the JEE Main 2024 admit card to the exam hall. In addition to this, they will also have to carry a photo identity proof (like Aadhaar card) in the original. One passport size photograph will also be required to be pasted on the attendance sheet. The passport size photograph should be the same as uploaded with the online JEE Main application form.

A candidate may take JEE Main for a maximum of three years.

The JEE Main Paper-1 is a 3-hr paper each for Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech),
Paper-2A (B. Arch), Paper-2B (B. Planning). Here Paper-2A and 2B are Optional.
The JEE Advanced is of 6 hours.
(Paper 1: 3 hours and Paper 2: 3 hours). Both Paper-1 & Paper-2 are compulsory.
JEE Main Paper-1 (for B.E./ B. Tech) consists of 90 questions (of which only 75 are to be answered). Marking scheme is 4 for every correct answer and Negative marking of -1 for an incorrect answer. Questions are multiple choice with single correct answer and Numerical Based Questions with Integer or decimal digit answers.
The number of questions and the distribution of marks in the JEE Advanced exam is not fixed. Questions may be multiple choice single correct answer, Multiple choice multi correct answer, Integer Type Questions with answer either a single digit or correct to two decimal digits. Marking Scheme is not fixed. There may be partial marking in multi-choice multi correct answer type questions.
The question paper for the JEE Main is available in 13 languages -English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The JEE Advanced question paper is only available in English and Hindi.
The JEE Main Paper is divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 (B. Tech/B.E.) is administered online (Computer Based Examination).
Paper 2 (B.Arch.) is available in online for Aptitude & Maths sections and offline mode (pen and paper-based examination) for drawing section.
Paper-2 (B. Planning) is administered online (Computer Based Examination).

JEE Main 2024 Live Updates: Differences between JEE Mains and JEE Advanced
These are the differences between JEE Main and JEE Advanced
The JEE Main Paper-1 is a 3-hr paper each for Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech),
Paper-2A (B. Arch), Paper-2B (B. Planning). Here Paper-2A and 2B are Optional.
The JEE Advanced is of 6 hours.
(Paper 1: 3 hours and Paper 2: 3 hours). Both Paper-1 & Paper-2 are compulsory.
The JEE Main Paper is divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 (B. Tech/B.E.) is administered online (Computer Based Examination).
Paper 2 (B.Arch.) is available in online for Aptitude & Maths sections and offline mode (pen and paper-based examination) for drawing section.
Paper-2 (B. Planning) is administered online (Computer Based Examination).

Candidates will have to reach the JEE Main 2024 exam centre at least one hour earlier to get their biometrics recorded.

JEE Main 2024 Live Updates: Tips to follow on the last day of exam
– Keep your mind focused and do not take much stress.
– Revise what topics you are confident in and leave the rest.
– Do not even think that you are weak in other topics, just focus on what you know and excel in that.
– Make your own JEE Main strategy to write exam, which subjects you want to write first, with the subjects after that
– Lastly give as many sample tests as you can give to practice time management. Time management is very important for the exam. Sometimes you might also feel that you knew this question but there wasn’t time left so you couldn’t write that.
– Always find easy questions first and write those then you go for the other questions which you think you don’t know.
– One day before the exam don’t learn anything new.
– Keep your mind calm
– Do not take any stress and be confident
