The top 3 ranks positions have been bagged by girls. This year’s Punjab Board class 10 topper is Nancy Rani from Ferozpur. The first and second rank holders have secured the same marks, however, since Nancy was younger she has been given the top rank as per the tie-breaker formula.
The Punjab board class 10 term-II examinations were successfully held from April 24 to May 19, 2022. This year, the Punjab class 10 exams were held in an offline, pen-and-paper mode and were subjective in manner.
The students need to score at least 33 per cent marks in every subject as well to be considered pass in the Punjab Board class 10 results.
This year, the results for the class 10 board exams will be declared according to the average of both terms, as the academic year has been divided into two terms, each covering 50 per cent of the syllabus. In 2022, as many as 3.25 lakh students appeared for class 10 exams. Last year, the overall passing percentage recorded by the PSEB was 99.93 per cent where girls scored more than boys as girls scored an average pass percentage of 99.94 per cent, while boys scored 99.92 per cent in class 10 exams. Also, the performance of government schools was better than affiliated and associated schools, and out of the total 3,21,384 students, 3,21,163 passed in class 10 exams.

A total of 311545 candidates appeared for their PSEB class 10 exam, of which 308627 candidates passed the high school exam. This year a total of 140504 girls and 169022 boys candidates passed the exam.
A total of 3,08,627 candidates have passed the exam. The PSEB Class 10 result is withheld for 317 students while only 126 students have passed the exam
Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Tuesday declared the result of matric examination. The overall pass percentage was 97.94 percent with girls bagging all the three top positions. District Gurdaspur has the highest pass percentage at 99.52 while Ferozepur has the lowest 98.65 percent pass percentage.

Nancy Rani of Ferozepur district bagged the first position in the state by securing 644 out of total 650 marks (99.08 percent), second position was secured by Dilpreet Kaur of Sangrur district. She also scored 644 marks but the positions were decided on the basis of the age difference as per the PSEB’s formula.
The Punjab Board will reward the top rank holders. The rank 1 holder will get Rs 1 lakh while the rank 2 and 3 too will get cash awards.
A total of 3,11,545 regular students had appeared in the board exams this year out of which 3,08,624 students have passed the exams. The overall passing percentage for regular students is 99.06 per cent.

Girls have outperformed boys in the class 10 result. A total of 1,41,528 girls had appeared in the exam out of which 1,40,594 have managed to pass with an overall passing percentage of 99.34 per cent. Whereas, as many as 1,70,005 boys appeared out of which 1,68,022 boys passed securing a passing percentage of 98.83 per cent.

Punjab board cancelled the class 10 board exams in the state in 2020 and 2021 due to surge in Covid cases. Hence, the results were announced based on alternative assessment in both years. Therefore no merit list n toppers names were releases. However, the board conducted term-wise exams this year and the result along with toppers names will be announced this year.

PSEB released the class 12th board exam results on June 29. The board recorded an overall pass percentage of 96.96 per cent. Girls performed better with a pass percentage of 97.78 per cent as compared to boys at 96.27 per cent
