PSEB 5th Class Result 2023 Highlights: Result declared; two girls secure full marks

This year, 10 transgender students appeared for the exams and all of them have passed. "Our education should be inclusive, and the so-called 'deprived commmunity' should be encouraged and supported. The participation of these students is increasing in Punjab Board and we welcome this change," says PSEB official.

This year, the overall pass percentage was 99.69 per cent, which was a minor increase from last year’s 99.62 per cent.

A total of 2,93,847 students appeared for Class 5 exam out of which 2,92,947 cleared the exams. 

Barnala and Tarn Taran districts had the highest pass percentage with 99.86 per cent, i.e. these two districts had the highest number of students who passed the Class 5 exams this year.

"Out of the top 3 students, two of them are from government schools, which shows how much the government schools are improving under the Punjab Board," the official added.

The overall pass percentage is 99.69 per cent. The pass percentage of government schools stood at 99.69 per cent, for private schools it is 99.75 per cent and for aided schools it is 99.07 per cent. 

Jaspreet Kaur, Navdeep Kaur and Gurnoor Singh Dhaliwal have topped the Punjab Board Class 5 exams this time.

There is no provision for re-evaluation for Class 5 results, said PSEB official. Students in classes 10 and 12 can apply for re-evaluation when their results are announced.

Students who couldn’t clear the PSEB Class 5 examination can appear for the supplementary exam. The exams will be held in the next two months. The students will have to fill a separate form, the dates for which will be announced later.

This year, a total of 2,93,847 Class 5 students appeared for the examination, of which, as many as 2,92,947 students have passed. The pass percentage for girls stood at 99.74 per cent, pass percentage for boys stood at 99.65 per cent and the pass percentage for transgender candidates stood at 100 per cent. A total of 10 ransgender candidates appeared for the exam.

The overall pass percentage stood at 99.69 per cent. Barnala and Tarn Taran districts had the highest pass percentage with 99.86 per cent while Mohali recorded the lowest pass percentage with 99.45 per cent.

Gurnoor Singh Dhaliwal from Faridkot came third. Two out of the three toppers are from state government schools.

The PSEB Class 5 original marksheets will be sent to the respective schools in due course of time and students will be able to collect them from the school authorities. Meanwhile, they can download the provisional marksheet from official website for admission purposes.

PSEB declared the class 5 results for Punjab board on Thursday. Students who could not qualify in one or more papers will not be able to avail the revaluation services. 'There will be no provision for re-evaluation for Class 5 students now,' the PSEB official informed.

The PSEB Class 5 students, who will appear and pass the compartment exams, will be promoted to Class 6. The failed students will be retained in Class 5

For candidates who could not clear PSEB Class 5 examination, their supplementary examination will be held in two months. All those students who have flunked their exam will have to fill out the form separately, for which the date will be notified separately through school login and newspapers, as per PSEB.

Jaspreet Kaur, daughter of Jarnail Singh and Navdeep Kaur, daughter of Karamjit Singh, Government Primary School, Ralla Kothe District Mansa secured first and second positions, respectively by securing 100 per cent marks. Gurnoor Singh Dhaliwal, son of Bhagat Singh Dhaliwal Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Convent School, Bhana District Faridkot secured the third position.

The PSEB official in the press conference said that there will be no provision for re-evaluation for Class 5 students. However, the students of classes 10 and 12 can apply for the same, when their results will be declared
