Shortlisted candidates will be recruited as constable (general duty) in the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR), and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The Commission will hold the SSC GD 2025 exam in four stages – computer based test (CBT), physical efficiency test (PET), and physical standard test (PST) followed by a medical examination. Candidates qualifying CBT will have to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Physical Standard Test (PST), and a medical examination. The PET primarily evaluates the candidate’s physical fitness through a running task, with different distance and time requirements for male and female applicants.
