TN Board SSLC 10th Result 2019 HIGHLIGHTS: The Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education (TNBSE) has declared the result for the Secondary School leaving certificate examination (SSLC) or class 10th examination on April 29 (Monday), 2019. The exams were conducted from March 14 to March 24, 2019. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their result at the official websites, http://www.dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in. Alternatively, the results are also be available on manabadi.com, manabadi.co.in and examresults.net.

Over 9 lakh students appeared for class 11 and class 12 exams. The Tamil Nadu Board class 12 or HSE result 2019 have been declared on April 19, 2019. Overall, 91.3 per cent students passed class 12 exams and around 8.7 per cent candidates flunked the class 12 exam this year.

A total of 9402 students scored above 481 with girls ahead of boys. As many as 6607 girls scored highest marks while 2795 boys registered above 481. Similarly, under the 451-480 marks range, girls scored 36891 while boys are at 19946. The lowest marks range - 175 and below were scored by 27,282 boys and 39402 girls. Overall 9,50,287 students appeared in the exam of which 4,74,349 were boys and 4,76,057 were girls.

After the result is out, students will be able to obtain their provisional mark sheets from their respective schools. They will also be able to download it from the directorate's official website — dge.tn.gov.in.
Those who don't clear the exam will be able to appear for the special supplementary exam which would be organised in June or July
Those who have not cleared the exam will be able to apply for supplementary examination which will be conducted in the month of June or July
A total of 5456 government schools have registered 100 per cent pass percentage. This year, the pass percentage of the state has increased by 0.1 per cent as compared to the last year. About 9402 students have secured about 481 marks. Sivagangai district registering highest pass percent at 98.5 with Erode at 98.38 per cent, followed by Virudhunagar at 98.29 per cent. Chennai district's pass percentage imporved from 93.8 last year to 94.2 this year.
Subject-wise, in English, the pass percent is at 96.50 while in maths, it stands at 96.18 per cent. In science, it stands at 98.47 per cent and social science at 96.47 per cent.
In 2017, District Virudhu Nagar was at the top position with 98.55 per cent. Kanyakumari was at the second position, followed by Ramanathapuram at third. In 2016, Erode with 98.48 per cent claimed the first position among all the districts.

Last year, the district with the best performance is Sivagangai with 98.5 per cent. The result will be uploaded on the website at 9:30 am. Students will be able to check their scores/marks at the official website - tnresults.nic.in. In case due to heavy traffic one is unable to open the website, he/she may also be able to check the same at other websites - dge.tn.gov.in, www.dge1.tn.nic.in and dge1.tn.nic.in.

The pass percentage of girls stood at 96.2, while boys were at 92.5 per cent. The overall pass percentage was 94.4 per cent in the state which was the highest in the last five years.
The Tamil Nadu government has done away with the ranking system since last year citing the system caused unnecessary 'stress' to the students.
Students who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for re-evaluation of papers from May 2 to 4, 2019. Students will have to apply for it through their schools. The application fee for re-totalling for language papers including English is Rs 305 while for other papers it is Rs 205.
Tiruppur topped among the district with 98.56 per cent followed by Ramnathapuram - 98.48 per cent, and Namakal - 98.45 per cent.

The girls have outperformed the boys again in Tamil Nadu SSLC class 10 examination. While the pass percentage of the girls is 97 per cent, 93.3 per cent boys cleared the examination successfully.

Among districts, the maximum number of regular candidates is from Malappuram – 58,465. As many as 490 students to appear for the examinations from the Gulf centres, 1,014 from Lakshadweep, and 709 from Mahe.

Since 2018, the Tamil Nadu board has stopped 'advertising' or declaring the names of the top ranking students. Instead, it announced the city or district which registers the highest pass percentage. According to the DGE, the move is aimed to reduce the 'unhealthy' competition.

In 2017, 94.4 per cent students passed the exam and girls with a pass percentage of 94.5 per cent outshone boys who had a pass percentage of 89.3 per cent. The official time declared by the DGE is 9:30 but last year, the results were announced half-an-hour earlier than the scheduled time and a similar trend could be expected this year as well.
To pass the exams, students need to score a minimum of 30 marks out of 150 in theory examination and 40 marks out of 50 in practical exams, as per the rules.
To check your score on the website, candidates would need roll number and date of birth. These will help them log-in. Since over 9 lakh candidates would be checking their results it is advised to keep the documents handy

After the declaration of the result today April 29, 2019. The results of candidates of schools will also be sent as SMS to the mobile no. registered with the school.
Private candidates can obtain the statement of marks from April 24, 2019 from 9 am onwards through the official website www.dge.tn.nic.in.
To get the result as an SMS result, candidates will have to register the mobile number at the official websites
Once released, students who had appeared for the exams this year will be able to check their scores/marks at the official website - tnresults.nic.in. In case due to heavy traffic one is unable to open the website, he/she may also be able to check the same at other websites - dge.tn.gov.in, www.dge1.tn.nic.in and dge1.tn.nic.in. They should keep their hall tickets/admit cards ready in order to view their respective results.
The Class 10th examination was conducted from 10:15 am to 12:45 pm. Verification of particulars was carried out from 10:10 am to 10:15 am. 10 minutes were then given to read and go through the question paper thoroughly. The exams were conducted from March 14 to March 24, 2019

From 2017 onwards, the results were sent out over SMSes to students of Class 10 and Class 12 students. This year also, the students will be able to get their result via SMS, by registering their mobile number on the official website. The result will also be available via the app, the candidates have to download the result app from the Google play store.
