AILET 2025 application dates, exam centre cities and more.(representative image/express photo)TNEA 2024: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, today (July 10) released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list 2024. Candidates who have applied can now download the rank list from the official website — tneaonline.org.
Candidates will be given a grievances redressal period from July 11 to 20 to address any issues or concerns regarding the rank list.
To prepare the rank list of TNEA, the marks secured by the candidates in the prescribed subjects of the qualifying exam are reduced to the base of 200 (Mathematics – 100 and Physics + Chemistry – 100).

The authorities will release a separate category-wise and overall rank list of TNEA. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible for the counseling process.

Step 2: Click on the “rank list” link, available on the homepage
Step 3: Fill in the required details
Step 4: Your rank list will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Download and save it for future reference.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the rank list, to participate in the counseling process. The counseling process will be conducted in an online mode. During the counseling, the candidates have to select their preferred choices of colleges and courses. The final seat allotment will also be complied after the rank list is published. Selected candidates have to report to the allotted institutes for payment of admission fees.
Counseling will be conducted online in three rounds and candidates will participate in corresponding rounds based on their rank. Each round will have 4 stages:
a) Choice filling
b) Allotment
c) Confirmation of allotment
d) Reporting to college and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation
The counseling for special reservation categories viz eminent sports person, differently abled and wards of ex-servicemen will be conducted first in online mode.
The general counseling, vocational counseling and 7.5 per cent seats on preferential basis to the students who have studied from 6 to 12 in state government schools will be conducted simultaneously through online.
