She wants to pursue Computer Science Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Maheshwari tells us how she secured a 100 percentile and what is her JEE Advanced 2023 preparation strategy. What is your biggest motivation to crack IIT? My father wanted me to be a CA but I always had an interest in Mathematics and Science. Seeing my brother while growing up and going to IIT, I also wanted to do the same. My family has always been my biggest support system and when I told them that I want to be an engineer, everyone helped me, especially my brother who explained to my father about the life and culture of IITs. My study schedule For JEE Main, I would study at home for nearly 5 to 6 hours either before or after classes. I would wake up around 6:30 am and study from 7 am. My classes would begin at 3:30 pm and go on till 8:30 pm. After classes, if I would feel fresh I would study else I would sleep. For JEE Advanced, I get sheets from my coaching institute Allen Bangalore that included the previous year's question papers, solved papers and modules. I also daily revised the coaching and revision of class notes. I track my mistakes and ensure that I don’t repeat them. Books I referred to NCERT is the most important book for JEE Main. For JEE Advanced, I am studying MS Chouhan and Himanshu Pandey for Organic Chemistry, Narendra Awasthi for Physical and VS Jaiswal and K Kumar for Inorganic Chemistry. Blackbook, Yellowbook and Pinkbook for Mathematics. For Physics, I am referring to Irodov, a bit of Pathfinder and HC Verma. I would go for walks and listen to music in my free time or if I get overwhelmed. My advice for students appearing for JEE Main Consistency is the key to success and hard work is important. Follow what the teacher says. Revise and make sure you don’t repeat the same mistakes again.
