UP Scholarship 2024-25: The Social Welfare Department of the Uttar Pradesh government has introduced scholarships for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric for the academic year 2024-2025 at scholarship.up.gov.in. The application for the scholarship has been open since July and will end on December 31.

Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the online application form by visiting the above-mentioned website. Students need to remember that minority backward classes like Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi will apply to the Minority Welfare Department’s official website.

The Uttar Pradesh scholarship application process is available for both fresh candidates and candidates who want a renewal option for the scholarship. Through this scholarship shortlisted students from Pre-Matric and Post-Matric will be eligible for monetary assistance. The scholarship option is also available for students who are studying in any Sanskrit school in the state.

What is the renewal option for the scholarship?

It is for those students who got the scholarship last academic year but now want to apply again for the academic session 24-25. Even if it is for a fresh or renewal application, students will have to register again using login credentials.

What is the eligibility criteria? 

— The family earnings of the household for a general, OBC, or minority student should be Rs 2 lakh while for SC and ST, it should be Rs 2.5 lakh.

— The candidate must have passed the last examination he or she enrolled for.

— A valid caste certificate should be issued for the student from a competent authority along with an Aadhaar card.

What is the application process?

There are various stages of the application process registration, Aadhaar authentication, followed by form submission, verification of the institutes through which candidates applied, scrutiny, and verification of the student by the district welfare committee and then funds will be disbursed through Aadaar-based authentication.

What are the documents that a student needs?

— Fee receipt and enrollment number

— Aadhaar card number

— Latest passport size image

— Qualifying exam mark sheet

— Caste and income certificates

–Bank passbook of the account that should be linked with the Aadhaar card

–Affadavit from court

The candidates need to remember that the UP government is not taking any application fees from the students to fill out the scholarship form.
