UPSC Mains Admit Card 2025 Updates: Hall tickets out; check UPSC’s important instructions for candidates

Answer all questions in the Question-cum-Answer (QCA) booklet in the space provided. Violating these rules may result in mark deduction or cancellation of candidature. After each session, hand over your QCA booklet to the invigilator after detaching the question paper at the end. Use only the designated space for rough work — never use your admit card or other sheets. Any breach of these instructions may result in disqualification.

If you appear at a centre or sub-centre, or in an optional subject/Indian language other than what is mentioned in your admit card, your answer scripts will not be evaluated and your candidature may be cancelled. Remember, your candidature is provisional until final verification. Mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices, programmable gadgets, storage media, cameras, Bluetooth devices, and smartwatches are strictly prohibited inside the exam premises — even in switched-off mode. Violation may lead to a ban from future examinations.

Candidates must carefully check the e-Admit Card and report any discrepancies immediately to UPSC via email at csm-upsc@nic.in. Always mention your Name, Roll Number, Registration ID, Examination Name, and Year in all correspondence with the Commission. On exam day, bring a printout of the e-Admit Card along with an original photo ID as mentioned in the admit card -- for every session. Preserve the admit card until the final result is declared. Candidates are responsible for the safe custody of their admit card, and in case of misuse, they must prove they have not engaged an impersonator.

Bring a black ballpoint pen for attendance sheet entries. Only water in a transparent bottle is allowed inside; no other beverages or eatables are permitted. Visit your exam centre at least a day before to avoid confusion on the day. If your name has changed, carry a government-issued photo ID reflecting the new name in each session.
