UPSC Mains Result 2024 Date and Time Updates: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services Examinations (CSE) Main Results 2024 on December 9. The UPSC CSE exam is held in three phases – prelims, mains and interviews. While the UPSC CSE 2024 prelims exam was conducted on June 16, the CSE mains UPSC exam was held on September 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29.
Candidates who clear the mains exam will be invited for an interview, which serves as a personality test round.

The Commission aims to fill over 1,000 vacancies through this initiative. Candidates who achieve scores above the cut-off marks will be eligible for recruitment into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other central services and positions.

All the candidates, who qualified for the Personality Tests (Interviews), have to fill and submit their Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) between December 13 and 19.
The candidates seeking reservation/relaxation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-servicemen etc., must also produce original certificate(s) issued by the closing date of the application of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 i.e. 06.03.2024.

The UPSC said the successful candidates in the main examination have qualified for the personality test for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Groups A and B).
The candidature of these aspirants is provisional subject to them being found eligible in all respects, it said in the statement. The candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their eligibility/reservation claims such as age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and other documents such as TA form at the time of their interview.
Around 2,845 candidates cleared the civil services (main) examination. Out of over 13.4 lakh candidates, as many as 14,625 cleared the civil services (preliminary) exam, 2024, held on June 16.

The marks sheets of all the candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result [after conducting Personality Tests (Interview)] and will remain available on the official website for a period of 30 days.

No paper Summon Letters will be issued for the Personality Tests (Interviews) by the Commission.

All the qualified candidates are required to fill up the Attestation Form online and submit the same online which would be made available on the Website of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) from the date of commencement of Personality Tests (Interviews) till the conclusion of Personality Tests (Interviews).
Therefore, all candidates qualified for the Personality Tests (Interviews) are advised to fill it up online within the prescribed time limit. Sanjay Malhotra is the new Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor, the government announced today. After completing his graduation in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1989, Malhotra earned a Master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University, USA.

Last year, a total of 31 candidates who received coaching and training in the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) were selected in UPSC’s Civil Services Exam 2023, an increase of 8 from last year. A total of 71 students from RCA appeared in the interview out of which 31 finally selected.
