UPSC Mains Results 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on November 11 declared the Civil Services Examinations (CSE) Main results 2025. Candidates who appeared for the UPSC CSE 2025 mains can check their results at the official websites – upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The UPSC CSE Mains result is in the form of a merit list PDF. It contains the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The results of the three candidates have been withheld.

These candidates will now appear for the interview or the personality test (PT) round for selection to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).

This year, a total of 14,161 candidates have qualified the UPSC Prelims 2025 to appear in the UPSC CSE Mains exam. The written examination was conducted over five days, from August 22 to August 31. The exam was conducted with two three-hour papers scheduled each day.

UPSC Mains Results 2025: How to check

Step 1: Visit the official website — upsc.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, check the link ‘UPSC CSE Results’

Step 3: Select the link and add your login credentials.

Step 4: Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Download the card.

The interview round is likely to be conducted from January 2026 at the Union Public Service Commission headquarters in Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. The interview and personality test will carry 275 marks (with no minimum qualifying marks).

The Commission has launched a revamped application portal with Aadhaar authentication as an identity verification option. Over 92% of applicants have opted for Aadhaar-based login since the new system went live on May 28, 2025.

Every candidate appearing at the examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the CSE. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD category candidates who are otherwise eligible.

The UPSC CSE exam is held in three stages — prelims, mains, and the personality test to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Grade A and B posts in the central government and its departments.

The marks sheets of all the candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result after conducting Personality Tests (Interview) and will remain available on the website for a period of 30 days.
