The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the exam schedule for combined competitive entrance exams for admissions to various colleges and universities for the academic year 2025-26.

The board conducts several entrance exams, including the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET), Presidency University Master’s Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET), Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical, and Allied Sciences Undergraduate Course (JENPAS UG), and West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (JELET), among others.

The JELET exam facilitates lateral entry admissions into the second year of engineering, technology, and pharmacy courses. Additionally, the West Bengal Joint Examination for Masters in Computer Applications (WB JEECA) is conducted for MCA admissions, offering a total of 1,494 seats.

WBJEE 2025

The WBJEE 2025 is scheduled for April 27. The exam will last for 4 hours, divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1, which will cover Mathematics, will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, while Paper 2, which includes Physics and Chemistry, will take place from 2 PM to 4 PM. Candidates will also be able to download their admit cards between April 17 and April 27. 

Candidates appearing in both paper 1 and paper 2 are eligible for the general merit rank (GMR) and pharmacy merit rank (PMR). Such candidates will be considered for admission in all courses of engineering and pharmacy.

Candidates appearing only in paper 2 are eligible for PMR only. Such candidates will be considered for admission into pharmacy courses only (except at Jadavpur University). Candidates appearing only in paper one are not eligible for any rank

WBJEE is held once every year to admit students into the UG courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture in the colleges/universities across the state of West Bengal. WBJEE 2025 will be conducted in the offline mode i.e. it will be a pen and paper-based test.

The question paper will have a total of 155 questions divided into 3 categories. The questions will be asked from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects.
