The box office outcome of the highly anticipated Diwali clash of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is clear almost three weeks after their release. While the Ajay Devgn starrer has earned Rs 230.75 crore, Kartik Aaryan’s horror comedy has a slight advantage with Rs 231 crore earnings. However, given the massive scale and budget of Singham Again — the film had cameos by Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff — it is clearly advantage Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

Actor Aamir Khan can be seen saying exactly that as he speaks with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director. A video has gone viral where Aamir tells Anees that the makers of Singham Again made a big mistake by clashing with the latter’s film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. In the short clip, he can be heard saying, “Unhone apki Bhool Bhulaiyaa se takkar leke galti kardi (They made a mistake by clashing with you Bhool Bhulaiyaa).” The video has created buzz on the internet, gathering several hilarious fan reactions.

Talking about the clash, Anees had earlier said in an interview to Hindustan Times, “Both the films have fared well. I am happy with both films. Audience has shown equal love to both the films, and it is enough for us. I want to congratulate them. A lot of people in that film are my old friends. Koi film Rs 2 zyada hai, aur koi kum… What matters is that both the films have done good business and brought huge crowds to the theatres.”

The Singham Again director also addressed the same in an interview last week. “We tried to avoid the clash (with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3) but the only issue was that we had the theme of Diwali otherwise we could have released the film anytime. After a week, both the films created a revenue of over Rs 300 crores which is quite rare,” Rohit told ANI.

Both the films raked mixed reviews from the audience. Along with Ajay Devgn, Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar. Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri.
