Television star Aly Goni expressed grief as he wrote on X, “Heartbreaking news about the Air India plane crash. Prayers for the passengers, crew, and their families.”

Celebrity author Chetan Bhagat, however, questioned the cause behind the crash. He wrote, “Shocking news coming out of Ahmedabad about the Air India flight. How could this have happened so shortly after takeoff? Hope we get more details, including on the possible cause.”

Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu have cancelled the Kannappa trailer launch event that was scheduled to be held in Indore today. A press meet was scheduled with Salman Khan for Thursday in Mumbai, which has been cancelled after the news broke. Moreover, a fan and media event of Rana Naidu Season 2 has also been cancelled to stand in solidarity with the families of those impacted.

As per reports, the aircraft crashed in a densely populated area near the airport. Post the crash, the local residents immediately rushed to help with the rescue efforts. More details are awaited.
