Amitabh Bachchan not approached for ‘Robot’ sequel

“He (Bachchan) has not been approached for the film yet. He doesn’t know anything about it. It is a false news,” sources said.

“Robot”, a 2010 Tamil sci-fi film with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead, was directed by S Shankar.

The story revolves around a scientist’s struggle to control his creation, an android (both played by Rajinikanth), whose software is upgraded to give it the ability to comprehend and exhibit human emotions.

But the project backfires when the robot falls in love with the scientist’s girlfriend (Aishwarya) and is manipulated by a rival scientist (Danny Denzongpa) into becoming homicidal. Big B would be seen next in “Wazir” alongside Farhan Akhtar.
