Chandu Champion song Satyaanas teaser: Fans compare Kartik Aaryan’s song to Shahid Kapoor ‘Gandi Baat’ and Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Maston Ka Jhund’

After unveiling the trailer for Kartik Aaryan’s much-anticipated film Chandu Champion, the makers have shared the teaser of the film’s first song, “Satyaanas”.

The teaser features Kartik and his gang of boys dancing inside and atop a train, evoking memories of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic “Chaiyya Chaiyya” from Dil Se. Kartik, playing a young Indian Army recruit, is seen in khaki shorts and a dark green vest, matching the other dancers as they move to the song. The track is composed by Pritam, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and choreography by Bosco-Caesar.

Some fans also pointed out how the songs remind them of the track “Maston Ka Jhund” from Farhan Akhtar’s film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag , which was also a sports biopic. A fan wrote, “Song vibes like ‘hawan karenge’ from bhag milkha bhaag.” For some other fans, the song’s tunes felt similar to the song “Gandi Baat” from Shahid Kapoor’s film R Rajlumar. A fan wrote, “Galti Se Mistake Of Ranbir’s And Gandi Baat Of Shahid’s = Satyanaas.” Another fan wrote, “Why it sounds like,’Galiti se mistake’?” One more fan wrote, “This song sounds like ‘Gandi baat’ from R Rajkumar movie.”

Chandu Champion is inspired by the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. The film depicts Kartik Aaryan’s journey from a young man to a soldier, a boxer, and ultimately a survivor. The film’s trailer was launched at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior, Kartik’s hometown.

Reflecting on the trailer launch in his hometown, Kartik said, “This is a dream come true moment for me. This is where I dreamt of being an actor, and bringing the toughest film of my career here is incredibly special. Mentally, how am I feeling? Kaafi kuch chal raha hai meri life mein (lots going on in life) but the show must go on. I’m just fortunate that all of you could join us for the trailer launch of the film here.”

Chandu Champion is directed by Kabir Khan, co-written with Sumit Arora and Rohit Shukre, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
