Netflix India has confirmed the return of several of its most celebrated Hindi-language series, unveiling a slate that includes new seasons of Mismatched, Black Warrant, Maamla Legal Hai, and The Royals. Among the highlights is the return of Black Warrant, a show that earned praise for its raw, unflinching look at life inside Tihar Jail. Actor Zahan Kapoor emerged as a breakout talent for his portrayal of Sunil Kumar Gupta. Building on the success of its first season, the series now looks to delve deeper into the harsh realities of incarceration and systemic challenges.
Also returning is, Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar’s The Royals, a series that sparked debate among critics and audiences but broke multiple viewership records for the streamer. Despite a divided reception, its popularity secured a second season. Producer Rangita Pritish Nandy shared her excitement: “Season 1 of The Royals was our love letter to the romcom genre; palaces, polo races, midnight masqued balls, fort-top romps and raves, love at its most chaotic and charming. That struck a chord and trended globally. This told us just one thing: we had to come back for more. We are thrilled to team up with Netflix for a second season that’s going to be bigger, bolder, and even more fabulous. Expect more fire, more feisty banter, and yes, a whole lot of drama. Because in our world, the crowns may be metaphorical, but the chaos is royally real.”

The courtroom comedy Maamla Legal Hai is also set to return, bringing back its beloved ensemble cast led by Ravi Kishan, Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht, and Anant Joshi. The new season expands its universe with the addition of Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Nirahua, and internet personality Kusha Kapila. Meanwhile, Mismatched, one of Netflix India’s most-watched romantic dramas, will return for its final season. Known for its relatable characters and the on-screen chemistry between Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf, the show will conclude the story of Dimple and Rishi as they navigate the evolving terrain of love and identity. Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP Movies, the show’s producer, commented: “We’re thrilled to bring Mismatched back for one last season. This show has become a true fan favourite, and the love for Dimple and Rishi has grown with every season. It’s been amazing to see how their story has sparked conversations, inspired fan theories, and built such a passionate community.”
Beyond these four titles, Netflix has also confirmed renewals for other flagship series, including Delhi Crime, Kohrra, Rana Naidu, and The Great Indian Kapil Show.
