T-Series head Bhushan Kumar has been enjoying the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and in a recent interview, where he spoke about his upcoming ventures, Bhushan opened up about his father Gulshan Kumar's biopic. He also mentioned that even though didn't officially announce it, but it was well known that Aamir Khan was associated with the project. Bhushan said that while they had a script earlier, they had to make changes to it as his mother did not approve of it. Bhushan shared with Connect Cine, "We are still writing it. We were ready with it earlier, it was superb, even though we officially didn’t announce everyone knew that Aamir Khan was going to be a part of it. He still wants to, he always tells me, it is the best script he has read in recent times. But there were some reservations from the family about it, especially from my mother, she wanted to tell the story from one perspective and we wrote the script from another perspective." Once she is convinced, which she will eventually do, the world will get to witness a very inspiring story. For now, we are reworking the script." Bhushan insisted that they don't intend to whitewash the events of his father's life with the film and said, "We are not whitewashing it, just revamping a few things." He also shared how the film will show incidents about Gulshan Kumar that the world doesn't know about, they are not even available on the internet. "My mother also wants the world to know some stories about him that a lot of people don't know." Bhushan Kumar's father Gulshan Kumar started T-Series in 1983. The brand grew in the 1990s after the company started producing films and became one of the biggest music companies in the Hindi film industry. Gulshan Kumar was shot dead in Mumbai in 1997 at age 46. Abdul Rauf was convicted for Gulshan Kumar's murder in 2002.
