Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 7: Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5 is continuing its box office climb as the film nears its second weekend on the big screen. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s Indian nett collection has grown to Rs 127 crore in just 7 days while globally the Akhsay Kumar-starrer has crossed Rs 200 crore mark. This is almost three times what Akshay Kumar’s courtroom drama Kesari 2 made in its first week. Starring Akshay, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, the film only made Rs 46 crores during the first 7-day theatrical run, and interestingly Housefull 5 has already overtaken the film with regard to its nett collection in India.
Housefull 5 Box office collection (Day-wise) | Nett India Collection |
Friday (Day 1) |
24 crore |
Saturday (Day 2) | 31 crore |
Sunday (Day 3) | 32.5 crore |
Monday (Day 4) |
13 crore |
Tuesday (Day 5) | 11.25 crore |
Wednesday (Day 6) | 8.5 crore |
Thursday (Day 7) | 6.75 crore |
The average occupancy rates for Housefull 5 throughout the day were 12.17%, as the morning and afternoon shows brought in 6.66% and 14.19%, respectively, while the evening and night shows achieved 12.37% and 15.46%. Even though the whodunit narrative has brought in big numbers during its first week, it still has a sizable distance to cover before it reaches Housefull 4, which made Rs 194.6 crore during its theatrical run. It can be argued that the two separate endings of the film have benefited the makers of the film. The climax which reveals the identity of the killer is different in both the endings, a tactic which has been used to attract bigger box-office numbers.
