Actress Huma Qureshi is currently shooting for her upcoming movie ‘Oculus’ in London. The actress recently met with the translator of the Vicereine, who is above 80 years old, who helped Huma understand the history of London better.

This session with the translator was of great help to Huma who will be seen in Gurinder Chaddha’s film ‘The Viceroy’s House’.

‘The Viceroy’s House’ is a period drama set against the turbulent backdrop of partition. Huma is part of Lord Mountbatten’s entourage and there’s a love story woven between her and another member of the staff.

Huma, who got an insight into the lives of the people in that period, was glad to have met her.

“It was really great to meet her and gather first hand information on how women spoke or behaved back then. It was an extremely enriching meeting. She is a wonderful person and we have been in touch since then,” said Huma.

‘The Viceroy’s House’ also stars Hollywood actors Gillian Anderson, Hugh Bonneville.
