One look at the song Gulaabo - the first thing that springs to your mind is Shaandaar. The feet tapping number filled with fabulously choreographed dance moves which have been well-executed by Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor will give you enough reasons to feel happy. The song launch held at a suburban five-star hotel in Mumbai on Thursday (September 10) kickstarted with Alia and Shahid reacreating the magic of the song live by dancing their way to glory. As background dancers marched on to the dark stage flashing their torches and moved into a synchronized formation, an infectiously energetic Alia sprang on to the stage displaying her moves as the audience cheered. Soon her partner-in-crime, Shahid Kapoor joined in and the duo set the floor on fire with their deft moves as roars of hoot whistles and cries of 'once more' filled the room. I was damn nervous because I was supposed to be dancing with Shahid. Even with just 10 per cent of his dancing skills, he looks great on stage. So, I had to match up to him. I worked very hard. At one stage, I even burst out crying and Bosco (choreographer) used to say that I have penguin feet. But I have to say Shahid also helped me a lot." The song also sees Shahid sharing screen space with his half sister Sanah Kapoor. Recollecting how he had no idea about Sanah being signed for the movie, Shahid said, "Vikas (Bahl) cast my sister without me knowing it. He met her through Mukesh Chhabra, who was the casting director for the movie. I was shocked when Vikas called me and said that he had cast Sanah as Alia's sister in the movie. Infact, I think, Alia and Sanah look more like siblings." [related-post] The song which is essentially about Sanah's bachelorette party sees Shahid and Alia doing quirky stuff to get the soon-to-be-bride in some fun and frolic mood. When Alia was asked about how she would like to celebrate her bachelorette party, Alia simply stood up from her chair and broke into an impromptu dance step. The actors also teased Vikas Bahl and mocked his trademark dancing move which involves shaking both hands and one leg to every party song. A slightly embarrassed but sporting Vikas responded by dancing with Shahid and Alia.
