Katrina Kaif was in tears when her body double got sick before Tiger 3’s hamam scene: ‘I’d worked so hard’

Katrina Kaif recalled that she was crying when she learnt that her body double had fallen sick before the shoot of her 'hamam' sequence in Tiger 3.

Katrina Kaif is still basking in the success of Tiger 3 and in a recent conversation at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, the actor said that she did not have a body double in the ‘hamam’ sequence and was literally in tears when her director Maneesh Sharma encouraged her to do the scene. The ‘hamam’ scene has been a talking point of the film and Katrina’s action stunts here have received a lot of appreciation.

Katrina said at the festival that “some of the action sequences in Tiger 3 were definitely phenomenal”. She further shared, “I lost my body double in the ‘hamam’ sequence. She got sick. I went up to my director and producer and I was crying. Because I’d worked so hard and I was like ‘no no…’, and he was like ‘you are going to do it’.”

The towel fight scene left Katrina’s husband, actor Vicky Kaushal in awe as well. While promoting his film Sam Bahadur, Vicky spoke at Express Adda and shared his thoughts about Tiger 3. “So, I had gone for the screening of the film, and we were watching the film. Obviously when the sequence came, in the middle of the sequence, I inclined towards her and said, ‘I don’t want to argue with you from now on. I don’t want you to beat me up wearing a towel.’ I thought it was incredible the way she pulled it off. I told her, ‘You are probably the most amazing action actress Bollywood has.’ So, I am really proud of the hard work she puts in. It is very inspiring to see her,” he said.

Katrina too, in an earlier chat with Filmfare, said that Vicky declared that they wouldn’t have any more fights after he watched her performing action in Tiger 3. “He said, ‘Whatever you say from now on, is right.’ He’s like you’re right. He said no more fights,” she recalled.

Katrina is now looking forward to the release of Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi.
