Legendary Bollywood actor Rekha recently graced the cover of Vogue Arabia in dazzling outfits created by celebrity designer Manish Malhotra. Her pictures were a hit on the internet, and she was praised for her charm and elegance. Manish opened up about his experience of working with her, and said that Rekha “gave it her all” for the shoot.
The celebrity designer gave Rekha the “full credit” for all how well the photos were received. “I give the full credit to her. What I admire about her is she works for hours. She is into it and she keeps trying clothes. Even if I step out of the room to do other stuff, and come back into the room, the whole room becomes her. We are seeing the clothes and we are like, ‘No, should we just do a little this or that’, and she listens, gets it and observes. She is like, ‘Yes, let’s do it like that'”, Manish said.
He said that she calls him ‘M’, a name given to him by Sridevi’s daughter, actor Janhvi Kapoor. He also revealed that he has advised Rekha to not call anyone ‘beta’. Manish shared, “I keep telling Rekha ji that your voice is so beautiful and seductive, don’t say beta and all to anyone.”
Meanwhile, it is reported that Manish will be making a biopic on yesteryear diva Meena Kumari, with Kriti Sanon in the lead role. However, the actor’s stepson, Tajdar Amrohi, son of filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, expressed his displeasure at the idea.
