Original choice for Gabbar,Danny Denzongpa trends on Twitter as ‘Sholay 3D’ releases

Danny Denzongpa was the first choice to play Gabbar in 'Sholay 3D'.

Bollywood blockbuster ‘Sholay 3D’ is releasing across India on Friday and instead of fans talking about its starcast including legendary actors Dharmendra,Amitabh Bachchan or villain ‘Gabbar’ played by late Amjad Khan,people all over are talking about one man – Danny Denzongpa.

Reason being,Danny Denzongpa was the first choice to play Gabbar in the Ramesh Sippy movie. Danny was signed for the role but because of a delay in the film’s shoot Danny had to quit the movie,and leave for Afghanistan for Feroz Khan’s ‘Dharamatma’.

The veteran actor,like Alok Nath,became the butt of all jokes on the social networking site.
