Playing Priya review: Sunidhi Chauhan shines as an actor amid empty plot

The six-and-half-minute long short film shows Sunidhi playing the role of an everyday woman named Priya who is home alone after her husband leaves for his mom’s house with his kids. Sunidhi is seen enjoying her own space, dancing around and preening in the mirror. But soon her happiness turns into fear when she hears footsteps slowly approaching her house. An unwanted knock on her door follows and someone tries to enter her house. And as soon as you feel you will get something to talk about, the movie ends abruptly. While you will have to watch what happens next for yourself, we would advise you not to hod your breath.

The only good thing that this short has it that it gives a new actor to the industry in the form of Sunidhi who as a first timer, plays her part convincingly and coveys her every feeling of being scared, petrified and alarmed without uttering a single dialogue on screen.

There’s only one word for those who would have anticipated a great storyline and horror with this short: Disappointment.
