Salman Khan approaches police over objectionable WhatsApp messages related to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

Salman Khan has sought the help of the Mumbai police to probe who is behind a fake message in his name about his forthcoming movie "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

Actor Salman Khan registered a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police on Wednesday against a ‘morph’ post circulating on WhatsApp messenger, showing the actor making bitter remarks about his Muslim fans.

The post has surfaced days before the release of his movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

According to the complaint, the post circulated on WhatsApp is a screenshot of a fake interview of the actor with a Hindi news channel.

The supers carried on the screen shot quotes the actor saying, “My movies can became a hit without the support of my Muslim fans.”

Confirming the development, Additional Commissioner of Police ( Crime) KMM Prasanna told The Indian Express that an enquiry was underway. The actor could not be reached.
