Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera loses his father to cancer four months after his 88th birthday
Shera has been Salman Khan's bodyguard since 1995. He also runs his own security firm named Tiger Security, which provides security to several high-profile celebrities.

The news came in light after Shera took to his social media handles to share an official statement. Sunder Singh was battling cancer. He was 88 at the time of his death.
Shera, in a statement, shared: “My father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly has left for heavenly abode today.” He also shared the details about his father’s last rites. “The last journey will start at 4 PM from my residence 1902, The Park luxury Residences, Off Lokhandwala Back Road, Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai.”
The news of Sunder Singh’s death comes just four months after his 88th birthday. The celeb bodyguard had shared a series of pictures on his Instagram to wish his father. In his caption he wrote: “Happy 88th birthday to the strongest man my God my father, my inspiration! Every bit of strength in me comes from you. Love you dad always!”

Shera rose to fame after he became the personal bodyguard and head of security for actor Salman Khan in 1995. While he is famously known as Shera, his real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly. Apart from working as personal bodyguard to Salman Khan, Shera also runs a security firm called Tiger Security. His firm is responsible for providing security to several celebrities. In 2017, his team was in-charge of Justin Bieber’s security during his Mumbai concert.
After winning bodybuilder titles in several championships in the late 80s, Shera joined Salman’s team in the early 90s. He has been a constant since then, accompanying the star at all events, occasions and shoot. He was recently seen in an ad for food delivery platform Swiggy inspired by the upcoming festival of Rakshabandhan.
