Sooraj Barjatya teamed up with Salman Khan after 16 years. They last worked in the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in 1999.
The movie got a good head start this Diwali by earning Rs. 40.35 cr on the first day (Thurday) itself, on the second day (Friday) it earned Rs. 31.05 cr and third day (Saturday) it made Rs. 30.07 cr, which makes a total of Rs. 101.47 cr in mere three days. This does not make the total of the entire weekend collection as we are yet to see how much the movie makes on Sunday.

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is Salman Khan’s ninth film to enter 100 cr club, and the fifth movie in 2015 to make it to this grand club. Other movies that made it to the 100 cr club this year are, Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ and Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘ABCD 2’.

Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor seem to have mesmerized the audience in ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and with the numbers going at a steady pace at the box office, we might as well see the film breaking many more records in the coming days.
