Shahid Kapoor feels lucky to be working with ace directors

Shahid has recently wrapped up Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ opposite Alia Bhatt. Kareena Kapoor and Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh will also be a part of the crime caper.

Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, who has been keeping busy with his work commitments and preparations for his impending marriage, is extremely happy that he is getting to work with ace directors like Vishal Bhardwaj, Vikas Bahl and Abhishek Chaubey.

Shahid’s last outing at the Box Office – ‘Haider’ – was helmed by Vishal Bharadwaj and was one of the most critically acclaimed movies of all time. The actor says he is extremely thankful to the director for introducing him to and making him a part of this kind of cinema. Shahid’s performance in the film also gathered him immense accolades. So much so, that he was even in the race of a National Award win.

Shahid has recently wrapped up Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ opposite Alia Bhatt. Kareena Kapoor and Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh will also be a part of the crime caper. The actor will again be seen opposite Alia in ‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl’s ‘Shaandaar’.

While ‘Udta Punjab’ revolves around the sad state of drug abuse in Punjab, ‘Shaandaar’ is based on destination wedding.

Meanwhile, the actor is also awaiting his marriage that’s scheduled for June 5 in Greece. Shahid Kapoor will be tying the knot with Delhi based Mira Rajput in a low-key ceremony.
