Simi Garewal reacts after being criticised for sharing her interview with Mahesh Bhupathi, his first wife: ‘People are quick to judge’

Simi Garewal had shared a clip of the former couple from her popular show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, but it didn't go down well with a section of people, who felt it was inappropriate.

Actor and talk show host Simi Garewal said it’s sad that people are “quick” to form a judgment, days after she was trolled for sharing an old video of Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi and his first wife Shvetha Jaishankar.

Garewal had shared a clip of the former couple from her popular show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal on her Instagram page. The post, however, didn’t go well with a section of people, who felt it was inappropriate of her to put it out when they were no longer together. Mahesh Bhupathi and Shvetha Jaishankar got divorced in 2009 after seven years of marriage.

Replying to a user who wrote she should not have put their lows in public and open up old wounds, especially since they have moved on, Garewal responded that her intention was to simply point out that there is a lot to learn from human experiences.

In the original post of Garewal, which was posted three days ago, the actor had mentioned how the former couple separated but eventually found their respective life partners. Mahesh Bhupathi married actor Lara Dutta in 2011, while the same year, Shvetha Jaishankar tied the knot with Chennai-based businessman Raghu Kailas.

“This rendezvous with Mahesh & Shvetha was in the first year of their marriage. Both lovely people who couldn’t carry through in the end.. A day after Mahesh married Lara Dutta, Shvetha tied the knot with Chennai businessman Raghu Kailas. The journey to find your soul mate is not always easy. But now both couples have found their life partners.. & their happiness,” her post had read.
