This Diwali season witnessed a clash between two popular Bollywood franchise films, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again at the box office. However, after almost two weeks since the films’ released, it seems like Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy has emerged as the winner with a whopping Rs 212.10 crore India net, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. The film has been the first choice of the moviegoers as it has earned Rs 3.85 crore on its thirteenth day against Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer cop drama, which earned Rs 3.15 crore. Singham Again’s grand total stands at Rs 217.65 crore India net, according to Sacnilk. Meanwhile, Suriya and Bobby Deol starrer Kanguva releases today. The pan-India film may dent the earnings of both films.
While Sacnilk reports Kartik Aaryan’s film is at Rs 212.10 crore in India, the makers of the film took to their respective social media handles on Monday to announce the film has earned Rs 216.76 crore with Rs 18.10 crore on Sunday.
The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, is the third installment in the popular Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise and has around 4000 shows across India. Meanwhile, there has been a drop in Singham Again shows–the fifth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. The film, which first released in 60:40 ratio against the horror-comedy, is now having just about 3700 shows, about 300 less than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty’s cop drama starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh, among others. It is said to be made on a budget of Rs 350 crore.
After almost two weeks of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Suriya-starrer Kanguva has arrived as a competition. Also starring Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, the film has earned about Rs 10 crore in advance booking for day 1 (Rs 17 crore while accounting for block tickets), as per Sacnilk. Kanguva is expected to earn around Rs 40 crore on day 1. While Tamil Nadu is expected to bring in the lion’s share, it will also have traction from rest of India.
