Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett injured her head during a fight scene while performing ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ at a Sydney theatre.
The ‘Aviator’ star was hit by a radio that was hurled towards her during a fight scene,which struck her head. The show had to be cancelled after Blanchette realised that she could not continue,Daily Mail reported.
Blanchett plays the role of Blanche DuBois in the theatre version of the black and white classic.
The actress was taking part in a scene with with Joel Edgerton,when the incident occurred. The actress dropped to her hands as blood begun to run down her face.
“It sort of slipped and hit her in the head. She was so good. She just went straight on but then she realised she was hurt and couldn’t continue,” a member of the audience said.
