Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has been named the new face of cosmetics firm Lancome.

Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has been named the new face of cosmetics firm Lancome.

The 41-year-old star will be the 2010 “ambassadress” for the company,Contactmusic reported.

“By her remarkable personality and career,Julia Roberts is an emblematic woman of her time. Her exceptional talent,her radiance and her strong commitments,perfectly echo Lancome’s values,” Lancome president Youcef Nabi said.

“We are convinced she will embody the brand in the most sublime way possible,” he added.

The American beauty will next be seen in ‘Eat,Prey,Love’ based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoirs.

The film has been directed by Ryan Murphy and starring Richard Jenkins,Javier Bardem and Billy Crudup.

Roberts recently shot the second part of the movie in in India.
