M.I.A raises eyebrows with burqa on red carpet

She paired the traditional garment with yellow high-heeled sandals and metallic green eyeshadow that peeked out from her veil.

The 32-year-old went with a different ensemble for her

onstage performance later in the night,sporting a blue wig,yellow sequined blouse,pink pants and green shoes to sing ‘Teqkilla’.

Meanwhile,other stars attending the gala,including Megan Fox,Halle Berry stuck to more conventional options.

The singer who won an Academy award nomination for ‘O Saaya’,her collaboration with A.R Rahman in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’,is known for her wacky outfits.
