Manoj Bajpai to be felicited at IFFI’10

The actor will be honoured for his contribution to new emerging cinema at the International Film Festival.

It was for the film Pinjar that Manoj Bajpai was honoured with one of the most prestigious awards,the National Award for his performance in the film. Well,the actor who is known for his intense characters in films will soon be receiving yet another accolade.

The award in question is the being given by the Directorate of Film Festival,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Government of Goa,which will honour the actor for his contribution to new emerging cinema on November 22 at the International Film Festival in Goa.

Talking about the honour,Manoj said,”I am very happy and humbled by this decision. They selected me for my work that is yet more rewarding. To be honoured and facilitated in the presence of international film fraternity is definitely great. For me,as an actor,filmmaking is a constant changing process. Indian cinema has come a long way and my contribution to it has brought me pleasure. As an artiste,I too,I have evolved alongwith it.”

Bajpai recently got rave reviews for his grey shaded character in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti.
