A memorial service for Bollywood evergreen star Dev Anand,who died here on December 3,will be held at the Mehboob Studios,Bandra in Mumbai on December 16. It was officially announced by his son Suneil and other members of the family in a statement today that the memorial service will be held between 5 pm and 7 pm IST on Friday. A Memorial Service has been organised to pay tribute and pray for the peace and sadgati of the departed soul," the statement said. The service is expected to be attended by leading stars of Bollywood. Dev Anand died here following a heart attack. He was 88. He dedicated 65 years of his life to cinema and acted in more than 110 movies. He was cremated at the Putney Vale electric crematorium here last Saturday. His son collected the ashes of his father yesterday and will fly to Mumbai later tonight along with Kenny Muir of Navketan International Films. Dev Anand's wife Kalpana Kartik is expected to spend a few more days here,family sources said.
