Ram Gopal Varma, who has geared up for his up-coming film-“Rakta Charitra”,claimed the movie will create history in Indian cinema as it is first of its kind to be made in two parts.
“Rakta Charitra” is based on the life of slain leader Paritala Ravindra to be played by Vivek Oberoi. Surya enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri and Shatrughan Sinha playing N T Rama Rao along with Kota Srinivasa Rao and Radhika Apte in other pivotal roles.
“This is the first film in Indian Cinema to release in two parts. Part II will release after three-four weeks of Part I. Both films will be released in October and will be of two hours and ten minutes each,” Varma said.
The film is made in Telgu,Tamil and Hindi.
Because of sheer drama and content the story possesses,it was not possible to do justice in just one go. We wanted to show rise and fall of Ravi and emergence of Suri,he said.
Actor Vivek Oberoi, who is teaming up with Varma after eight years, said,”It is like a debut all over again. It is once in a lifetime opportunity. I feel fortunate to get it.”
Southern actor Suriya, who makes debut in Bollywood with “Rakta Charitra”,said,”I owe it all to Ramu sir. Hope people like my work here.”
Tamil actress Priyamani, who showcased her acting skills in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’,said,”This is my second film in Bollywood. I am pleased to work with Ramu sir.”
First look of the movie was unveiled yesterday in Mumbai with Vivek,Suriya,Priyamani,Anubhav Singh and Varma.
