Actor Chris Evans has denied his earlier claims that he is planning to retire from acting after wrapping his six films deal with Marvel.

Evans, 32, said even though he would be dedicating more time on direction, retirement is not on his mind as of now, reported People magazine.

“By no means am I planning on retiring. It’s kind of a silly statement. But I certainly am going to try to focus a bit more on directing at this point,” Evans said.

The ‘Captain America’ star had said last month that he was thinking about retirement after finishing the franchise in order to focus on directing.

The actor, who suits up again for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, first starred as the shielded superhero in 2010, has so far completed three films including ‘The Avengers’.

He will begin shooting for the second part of mega-buck franchise again after the release of ‘Winter Soldier.
