‘Thor’ star Chris Hemsworth is reportedly being eyed for a lead role in the remake of 1987 Mel Gibson starrer hit action film ‘Lethal Weapon’.

The 30-year-old actor is said to be offered a key role in the remake of the classic buddy cop

action film, reported Ace Showbiz.

The original film followed a mismatched pair of LAPD detectives played by Gibson and Danny Glover.

Justin Lin, who is currently attached to ‘Bourne 5’ is expected to sit behind the lens for this remake. No release date has been announced.
