Taylor Swift has reportedly slapped Kanye West with a cease and desist after the Yeezy rapper went on a full-blown, expletive-laced social media rant on April 10, making distasteful remarks about the pop star and her personal life. He also blamed her as one of the reasons behind his career fallout—specifically, his inability to land a Super Bowl halftime performance, among other things. In over 100 tweets on Thursday, the rapper name-dropped several A-listers, including Beyoncé and Madonna, before wiping his posts clean. Fans called the move a low blow. Swifties were clearly enraged and hoped this time she’d fire back with legal action instead of a diss track—and it looks like she took notes.

A source close to Swift told the Daily Mail that “Kanye went too far this time.” The rapper had earlier made graphic online remarks involving the Bad Blood singer and her fellow artists, including Harry Styles and Justin Bieber. “His claims are not just false—they’re defamatory,” the source added. “This isn’t just [West] gossiping. This is [West] sexually harassing a woman, defaming her, and trying to harm her and her career.” The insider close to the matter said Swift felt backed into a corner after West’s latest outburst. The cease and desist order was sent as a final warning before legal action kicks in, demanding him to stop immediately.

Kanye West makes distasteful remarks against Taylor Swift, Beyonce

Kanye West is attempting a comeback in the music scene after being cancelled over his antisemitic, rant-filled lyrics that cost him major brand deals and high-profile collaborators. But instead of bouncing back, the rapper seems to be spiraling again. This time even his fans have stopped defending his activities and eyebrow-raising social media behavior, often laced with controversial, objectifying, and outright offensive remarks. Just days after dragging Jay Z and Beyoncé’s kids into a hate-filled X post, on Thursday morning, he shared a brief apology, seemingly trying to own up to his actions. But minutes later, he fired back with another vulgar comment—this time aimed at Beyoncé, questioning the couple’s sex life. He went on to brag about hooking up with Madonna and Ashley Olsen.

Ye appeared clearly frustrated that his own industry peers didn’t stand by him when his career began to crumble. “I still feel I gave my life to this industry and thought so many people were my family, but when I needed my family on some real sht, none of these rap n**s had my back,” he wrote earlier. He also blamed Swift, writing in a since-deleted X post from April 7: “I was never allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments—George Bush don’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. Wearing a MAGA hat.”
