TIGER Shroff’s dancing finesse drew a roaring applause from the audience at the 21st Life OK Screen Awards. The Heropanti-star drew gasps from the crowd when he did a smooth and seemingly painless split as part of the dance routine. With an incredible somersault right off the stage, he ended his performance.

The ceremony kicked off with a performance by Kanika Kapoor, the voice behind Ragini MMS 2’s Baby doll, one of the most played songs of the year. But it was Gurmeet Choudhary’s performance that set the pace for the evening. The actor, who will appear in Vishesh Films’ Khamoshiyan, entered the venue on a beautiful white stallion, doing stunts that had the audience in awe.

Her performance set the tone for other celebrity acts. The forever sizzling diva Malaika Arora-Khan did an item number from the movie Dolly ki Doli. If there ever was anyone who could match that performance, it was Jacqueline Fernandez. Wearing a shimmering golden skirt that had a slit almost as long as her never-ending legs, the star danced to tracks from Kick.

The headliner of the show was Varun Dhawan. The Badlapur-star had a great 2014 with two hits — Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and credited Screen for hosting his debut performance at the awards last year. This time he wanted to up the ante, and he sure did. Riding on top of a prop that looked like a military tank, he started his routine with Jee karda from his upcoming film Badlapur, but unfortunately hurt his leg. But Dhawan didn’t let that affect his performance. After catching his breath, he continued dancing to Saturday saturday from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Besharmi ki height from Main Tera Hero.

The stage production was excellent. From pyrotechnics to streamers of various kinds and a set design that changed live, the 21st edition of Life OK Screen Awards was among the most memorable ones yet.
