The shooting of Gabbar is presently going on at different locations in Mumbai, spanning across the Fort area in South Mumbai to the far-flung suburb, Dahisar. Akshay Kumar plays the protagonist in the film, who creates his own vigilante network to fight corruption, can be spotted sporting a beard and doing high octane action sequences.
On the other hand Shruti Haasan seems to be playing a Maharashtrian girl. ‘Heavy metal Maharashtrian mami..full on’ the actress had posted on instagram.
The shooting took off early January this year and is almost 70 per cent complete and will continue till April end.
Based on A.R. Murugadoss’s 2002 Tamil superhit Ramanaa, the film is directed by South director Krish who helmed the Telugu hit Vedam.
