“First look matters the most”, emphasised Saif Ali Khan when he and his co-stars launched the trailer of Happy Ending at PVR Phoenix in Mumbai. Present at the launch were Saif Ali Khan, Ileana D’Cruz, Govinda, Ranvir Shorey,

Produced by Illuminati Films, the romantic-comedy also features Govinda in a pivotal role, while Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priety Zinta have played cameos. The film will release on November 21, and is about a ‘flamboyant writer’, who was once successful but is unable to find any taker for his work in the present time. His last anchor is Govinda, a producer who tells him to write a script for a movie. Ileana is his source of inspiration and what ensues is a rom-com involving travelling and countless drama with a hilarious plot.
The actors said that it was really fun to shoot the film, which has several scenes that were improvised while shooting. Answering to a query about how important is it for the film to achieve the 100 crore club, Khan said, “There is no target as such for box-office success. We would also like to make money but we would want the audience to view the film, love and enjoy it.”
Unlike many film-makers who are unhappy with the Censor Board, DK seemed to be pleased as it has given the film an U/A certification. He stated that the film has few bold scenes and pun-intended jokes and he was quite happy when the Board didn’t raise an objection on it.
The film will released world-wide on November 21 and the makers are looking for associates for the film. The number of screens are still being finalised.
