In search of Maharana Pratap

Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap is all set to take a time leap in the next two months and the team is on its toes searching for an older Maharana Pratap, who would replace Faisal Khan.
Apparently, it is becoming a huge task according to a creative person associated with the show. The person says, “We have contacted more than 100 actors for the role of Maharana Pratap, but still haven’t been able to finalise anyone. Since Faisal has really made a difference to the character, we need to bring in someone with similar zeal and vigour.”
According to sources from the industry, popular actors like Kushaal Tandon, Sharad Malhotra, Rohit Khurana, Adhvik Mahajan, Mrunal Jain among others have been approached. “We are considering newcomers as well,” says the person from the show without divulging any details.
However, Mrunal Jain, who gave the screen test, two weeks back, says that a lot of actors are being considered including him. “I guess they have already shortlisted a few and would select someone soon,” says Mrunal, whose focus right now is on Uttaran.
