Being helmed by Samir Karnik, ‘Adaab Main Dawood Ibrahim Bol Raha Hun’, will see the actors as cops.

Film-maker Samir Karnik has roped in actors Manoj Bajpayee and Sharib Hashmi for his next, Adaab Main Dawood Ibrahim Bol Raha
Hun. Although, the announcement was made last week, details about the plot have been kept under wraps.

A source close to the film reveals that the film is an out-and-out comedy sans any message. “It’s not a satire, it is a funny take on the gangster films. Most of the gangster films are very dark and grim, it’s an effort to make it entertaining,” stated the source.

Interestingly, the two actors will be seen essaying the roles of Gujarati cops in the film which will be set in the Rann of Kutch.

While Bajpayee didn’t answer our phone calls, Hashmi said that he was very excited to be working with Bajpayee. “I have always admired him and feel great about sharing screen space with him. We will be seen in a comical avatar of Jai and Veeru,” informed Hashmi who was unwilling to reveal more details.
