He may be a Mumbai boy, but he is not very familiar with the Marathi language. For his role of a revenge-seeking killer, Varun Dhawan who plays the character of a Maharashtrian boy, had to not only work hard on his look, but also take special classes to learn to speak impeccable Marathi. To make his character look as real as possible, the actor even spoke to the crew members and cops in Marathi. Since his gym instructor is a Maharashtrian, he would converse with him in Marathi in the gym and even learnt a lot of slang words. So while he did not leave any stone unturned to impress his fans with his character, we hope his efforts will bear fruit at the box-office.
