Sonakshi Sinha, who was sharing screen space with south superstar Rajinikant in the Tamil film Lingaa recalls how nervous she was on the first day of the shoot. Before this, she had only met Rajinikant as a kid, when she had accompanied her dad, Shatrughan Sinha and family to Chennai.
“After getting ready for the shot, I hesitantly approached him saying what an honour it was to work with him. But, I was stunned when he turned around and told me that it was he who was feeling nervous as he was going to act opposite his friend’s daughter! Even though we are romantically paired opposite each other, romance was not very physical during the era our story is set in and emotions were expressed through the eyes. So, it was not something that made either of us uncomfortable,” recalls the actress with a smile.
