At the trailer launch of the Akshay Kumar – Tamannaah Bhatia starrer It’s Entertainment, director Farhad-Sajid mentioned that actors Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj will be seen reprising their roles from Dabangg and Dabangg 2 respectively in a subtle way. “They don’t play negative roles, but instead, help the hero out in fighting his battle against the dog, Entertainment, who has taken over Akshay’s estranged father’s estate in the film,” stated Farhad.
Interestingly, at the same launch it was announced that Maneka Gandhi’s PETA (People’s Ethical Treatment for Animals) will run a campaign to urge people to adopt an Indian dog and the same will be promoted by the starcast of the film.
All this, since the star attraction of the film happens to be a dog. Kumar also mentioned that the the cast and crew will come together to support Gandhi’s dream animal hospital project in Navi Mumbai and will urge his fans on social media platforms to support the cause. The organisation has also officially collaborated with the film, since the latter does not show animals in a bad light. Gandhi mentioned that it was only when she saw the first cut of the film at her residence in Delhi, that she thought of supporting it.
